The few dating apps that are popular amonst the community that is LGBTQ Asia — including Grindr, Romeo, Tinder, OkCupid and Delta — either cater to a particular portion of the city or are ready to accept all, regardless of a person’s orientation or preferences.

To fill that space, two women — Sunali Aggarwal and Aditi Gupta — have built while you Are (AYA), a homegrown networking that is social dating app designed for Indian LGBTQ+ community. It is designed to give you a “no-pressure area” and a secure room for folks to help keep their identification confidential and then make connections at the exact same time.
